Me, you, him: με, σε, τον — and εμένα
Σε βλέπω! Two sets of pronouns: the short ones before the verb (με, σε), the full ones for emphasis (εμένα, εσένα).
The short ones: before the verb
One syllable, right before the verb: Με βλέπεις; Σε ακούω. Τον ξέρω. Την αγαπάω. Το θέλω. In negation δεν comes first: Δεν σε ακούω.
| ενικός | πληθυντικός | |
|---|---|---|
| α΄ | με | μας |
| β΄ | σε | σας |
| γ΄ | τον / την / το | τους / τις / τα |
The full ones: εμένα, εσένα
For emphasis or contrast the full form is added: Εμένα με ξέρει, εσένα όχι! And after a preposition, ALWAYS the full one: με εμένα, για εσένα, χωρίς αυτόν.
Giving TO someone: μου, σου
The indirect object in one syllable: Μου δίνεις το αλάτι; Σου γράφω. Της μιλάω. With a full noun: σε + accusative — Δίνω το βιβλίο στον Νίκο.
