The adverb survival kit
Place: εδώ (here), εκεί (there), πάνω, κάτω, μέσα, έξω. Time: τώρα, σήμερα, αύριο, χθες, μετά, νωρίς, αργά. Manner: καλά, ωραία, γρήγορα, σιγά, μαζί. Amount: πολύ, λίγο. These twenty words carry half your sentences.

From adjective to adverb: -ος → -α
The A1 recipe: swap -ος for -α — γρήγορος → γρήγορα, καλός → καλά, ωραίος → ωραία, ήσυχος → ήσυχα. Compare: Το φαγητό είναι καλό (adjective: how the thing IS) / Μαγειρεύει καλά (adverb: how one DOES).

πιο… από: comparing
One word compares adjectives AND adverbs: πιο + word + από. Ο Νίκος είναι πιο ψηλός από τον Γιάννη. Η Άννα τρέχει πιο γρήγορα από εμένα. Το τρένο είναι πιο ακριβό από το λεωφορείο. After από: the accusative. That's the whole of A1 comparison!

How do you make comparatives in Greek?
With one word: «πιο» before the adjective or adverb, then «από»: «Ο Νίκος είναι πιο ψηλός από τον Γιάννη» (Nikos is taller than Yannis), «Η Άννα τρέχει πιο γρήγορα από εμένα» (Anna runs faster than me). After «από» comes the accusative.
