Questions parents ask

Does this replace Greek school?

No, and it is not meant to. Greek school gives children the social side of the language — other Greek kids in a room together. This is the practice between those lessons, which is where most heritage learning is actually lost.

My child speaks Greek but cannot read it. Where do we start?

The alphabet guide and level A1, both free. Most heritage children move through them quickly because they recognise the words as soon as they sound them out — it is decoding they are missing, not vocabulary.

What age is it for?

Children who can read in their school language, so roughly seven and up; the interface adapts for younger learners, and teenagers use the same six levels as adults. A family plan covers up to four learners, each with their own progress.

We are in the US / Canada / Australia — do live lessons work with the time difference?

The teachers are based in Europe. The UK and Ireland share their hours; the US and Canada work in your morning, which is Europe’s afternoon; Australia works in your evening, which is Europe’s morning. Start with the free 20-minute call to check the fit.

What does it cost?

A1 is free forever. Full access is 8 CHF a month for one learner or 12 CHF for a family of four, cancellable in one click. Private lessons are 60 CHF for 60 minutes, less in packs; the first group class is free.
