VCE Modern Greek — practice that actually fits the exam
Units 1–4 reward three things: reading unfamiliar Greek quickly, writing in the right register, and holding a conversation under pressure. This is graded practice for the first two, free at the entry level and available at 2am if that is when you study.

Reading you have not seen before
The hardest part of the written exam is an unfamiliar text under time pressure. Sixty graded myths and dozens of readings give you unfamiliar Greek at a level that rises with you, with vocabulary support that disappears as you improve.
Grammar you can look up mid-question
91 grammar notes covering the full CEFR range — the passive, subordinate clauses, ποιόν ενέργειας, register — each with a drill attached. Built as a reference you consult, not a course you sit through.
Timed practice under exam conditions
Six timed mock exams, marked automatically, in the format of the Ελληνομάθεια certificate. Different exam, same written skills: reading comprehension, language use, and writing to a prompt against a clock.
What this covers
- Reading — 67 graded texts and myths plus thousands of comprehension items, at a level that rises with you.
- Writing — 131 extended-writing prompts, marked with feedback rather than just scored.
- Grammar and vocabulary — 91 notes with drills, and 49 vocabulary decks — the part you consult mid-question.
What it does not cover yet
- Listening — There are no native recordings yet, so the platform does not train the listening paper. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
- Speaking — Only inside one-to-one lessons with the teacher in Geneva, which limits Australian students to evening slots.

Is this aligned to the VCAA study design?
It is not a VCAA-endorsed course, is not affiliated with VCAA, and does not claim to be. It is independent graded Greek practice — reading, writing, grammar and timed exams — that develops skills the study design assesses. Use it alongside your school materials, not instead of them.
Which parts of the exam does it genuinely help with?
The written ones: reading comprehension, grammar and written expression. It does not help with the listening paper, because we have no native audio yet, and it helps with the oral only through live lessons. That is the honest split.
Which levels should a Year 12 student use?
B1 and B2. A Year 11 student generally sits around A2–B1. The free placement test takes three minutes and tells you where you actually are, which is often higher than heritage students expect for listening and lower for writing.
When should I start?
The Australian school year starts in late January and exams run in October and November. Starting with the year, and adding timed mock exams from August, matches how the exam actually approaches.
