The plural of nouns
Six endings cover almost everything: -οι, -ες, -α, -ια, -ματα — with the article changing along.
The basic patterns
The singular ending decides the plural one. These five rows cover the vast majority of A1 vocabulary.

The -μα neuters
A big, very regular family: the plural adds -τα. το όνομα → τα ονόματα, το μάθημα → τα μαθήματα, το πρόβλημα → τα προβλήματα.
The stress can move
A few very common words move their stress in the plural: ο άνθρωπος → οι άνθρωποι, ο δάσκαλος → οι δάσκαλοι, while η θάλασσα → οι θάλασσες keeps its own. When unsure, listen — the Greek ear does it automatically.
