Greek Α1 Writing: Fill In a Form and Write a Short Note

Forms require short, accurate answers. This A1-oriented practice uses an invented learner and a sample course enquiry. It is not a real registration form or an official exam paper. Work on paper or in your own notes; the exercise does not ask you to submit personal information.

Read the fictional profile

Με λένε Λίνα Μάρκου. Μένω στη Λυών. Μιλάω γαλλικά και αγγλικά. Μαθαίνω ελληνικά. Μπορώ να κάνω μάθημα την Τρίτη το απόγευμα.

Match information to fields

  • Όνομα — First name
  • Επώνυμο — Surname
  • Πόλη — City
  • Γλώσσες που μιλάτε — Languages you speak
  • Γλώσσα που μαθαίνετε — Language you are learning
  • Πότε μπορείτε; — When are you available?

Copy only the information each label asks for. Όνομα and επώνυμο separate the first name from the surname. Πόλη asks for a city, not a country or nationality. Μιλάω identifies languages the learner says she speaks; μαθαίνω identifies the language she is learning. Do not put all three languages into both fields.

Fill in your copy

Write an answer beside each label. The profile gives Tuesday afternoon but no exact hour. Keep that level of detail instead of inventing a time. A completed field is not confirmation that a course place or schedule has been agreed.

Check your choices

  1. Which part of Λίνα Μάρκου belongs in Επώνυμο?
  2. Does living in Lyon establish Lina’s nationality?
  3. Which language is she learning?
  4. Can you fill the availability field with “Tuesday at 17:00” from this source?
Answers and completed fields

1. Μάρκου. 2. No: the text gives a city, not nationality. 3. Ελληνικά. 4. No: only Tuesday afternoon is given. The completed fields are: Λίνα; Μάρκου; Λυών; γαλλικά και αγγλικά; ελληνικά; την Τρίτη το απόγευμα.

Add a short note

The note below gives a greeting, identifies the writer, states the request and availability, then thanks the reader. It does not claim the lesson is booked. Γεια σας is suitable for this polite enquiry; Ευχαριστώ closes it simply.

Γεια σας! Με λένε Λίνα Μάρκου. Θέλω να μάθω ελληνικά. Μπορώ την Τρίτη το απόγευμα. Ευχαριστώ!

Try a new fictional profile

Invent a different name, city and available day. Keep spoken languages and the language being learned separate. Fill the fields first, then write a note that agrees with them. Compare the two: if the form says Wednesday, the note should not say Tuesday. You may reuse the sentence frames without copying Lina’s details.
